About Us

We are a dirt bike riding family including my wife. Everyone enjoys the bikes at every skill level….from beginner to a veteran woods rider. My biking experience began when an uncle sold my dad a Honda SL 125. This 11 year old couldn’t believe his family actually owned a dirt bike!!! I had access to 25 acres behind our house with water streams and hill climbs. I loved every minute of it. I haven’t turned back since. As a 43 year old, I still enjoy the same streams and hills.

I remember as a teenager, and even until recently, sharpening my tires with vice grips and razor blades. It was a very time consuming and frustrating process. This enabled me to get better traction and more importantly, to keep from buying new tires. I hate buying tires and I hate even more…. Changing them!!!!

Through much trial and error, my partner, Baker, and I, have come up with a tool that keeps my knobbies sharp and keeps me from changing tires as much. I can now sharpen my tires in less than 10 minutes. I have one buddy that sharpened his tires and he said his old tire sharpened with KnobbyKnife was better than a new tire bought from a store.
